[10 May 2008|12:33am] [ music | the arcade fire - oldflame ] watch out! this is slightly intense saturday, may 3 lauren and i hung out all day!! first, we went to the mall and i tried on some dresses. it was a complete failure!! oh well. after that excursion, we went to stone creek boutique where the workers accused us of doing heroin since we're from westlake. they're totally awesome there, though. it was fun being there! then we walked around the metro parks by the olmsted falls library (which is the smallest library ever!). we sat by this pond for at least 15 minutes. it was nice. later we went to the apartment and stayed for 3 seconds to pick something up and then we proceeded to drive around the metro parks!! what else? that's our favorite activity. waste gas at the metro parks! that's like a total contradictory!!! come on, everybody's doing it. we listened to a lot of modest mouse. SO GOOD. after going through one playlist, we went to denny's and got boca burgers!!! mmmm. they disappeared faster than ever! wow. after that, we went back to lauren's and i completely passed out on her bed. it was only like midnight or something, haha. the next day, i went home around 11. tuesday, may 6 i went on a really good bike ride with alyssa! mr. eagen told me that he saw me riding my bike on dover, lololol. but, i do remember seeing the softball bus drive by! how fun. anyway, we went to the westlake panera and then rode to the mall. but of course we stopped first to get a slurpy. omg yum. then we went to the mall and tried on dresses! woo. we tend to look a little bit pregnant in a lot of them. how cute! then alyssa forced me to watch her eat a taco from chipotle. jeez, some friend she is!!! thursdsay, may 7 23 cent pizza day, whoa! i ended up waiting in line with my mom to get two large pizzas for an outrageously pricey amount of 46 cents. holy smokes! afterwards, i picked up lauren and we had nap time in my room. we lead really rowdy lives! but we talked for a while and caught up and whatnot so it was nice. um then we looked at plugs that are to die for on bodyartforms.com. sweet!! then we didn't watch a movie we did not play the sims (thank goodness). after all the excitement ended, i took her home! friday, may 9 today was so much fun! after school, i picked up alyssa, jenn, and alexis, and we all went to drop alyssa off at camp so she could go to the retreat in columbus. we met ed, paul, and some girl who knows marilyn ebley! what a small world. we did a team building activity of trying to open the doors of the bus. um, talk about not weird at all. haha. once they left, we walked to pioneer and ate a pizza lunchable together. oh! and we raided staff snack and alexis spilled water all over herself. also, we went to mcdonald's and um, we spun in circles??? new favorite activity for sure! around 8, we met up with emily w, emily r, marty, thomas, chris, jason, harry, dan, max, nick (max's step brother), and marina at the rec center hill. we ended up hanging out up there for a good 2 and a half hours. we layed(?) on blankets and rolled down the hill! tickle fights and that one other weird activity were popular as well. we tackled each other a lot. i have such cute grass stains on my pants now!! aww. um, chris and i did the special japanese dance from lost in translation because it was marty's birthday, HAHA. then we all sang to him! but he had food poisoning and ended up leaving for a while. he felt better soon enough, though! so that was nice of his body?!?!? then we all went to harry's enormous house and played there for a while. he gave us a tour and we watched people on the video cameras throughout the house!!! hahahaha. we each manipulated his puppy, milo, into liking us by feeding him treats. wow, we're nice! then we went to his massive basement and hung out there for the most part. everybody made fun of my thighs and then we left around 11:45. it was such a nice night, especially to hang out outside for the majority of it. doing nothing at all!! other random thoughts - graduating in 21 days (i can't believe how fast this year flew by, let alone these four years!) - i love band right now. even if i get yelled at like five times per hour by walczuk - i'm totally pumped for music a la mode tomorrow - i finally know what a few of my favorite bands are!! i think the list actually goes as follows: 1) modest mouse 4eva 2) the arcade fire (plus the string quartet tribute to their album, funerals) 3) anathallo 4) the national 5) regina spektor 6) cap'n jazz (and anything by tim kinsella, basically) i probably shouldn't put numbers by them and i feel kind of almost bad for doing so, but that's the general order. modest mouse is definitely my all time favorite, though. these next two weeks are going to fly by. this past week, i thought every day was friday, ahahahaha. how much does that suck? it actually didn't feel as terrible as it sounds um i need to go before i go crazy. i can't wait to pass out in my bed :) ps - today i got the urge to make a album on facebook. then i remembered what a terrible idea that was because i am way too lazy right now to resize a bunch of random pictures anyway read (2) write

[28 Apr 2008|06:03pm] [ music | the frames - finally ] friday, april 25 state band contest is officially and finally over with since friday! i was worried about it all week but when it actually came, i was so excited! i remembered that it was my last one so i tried to make the most of it. i was a room guide so i led the nordonia concert band around for a couple of hours. the band director, who happened to be a woman, had tiny ankles! the assistant was really kind of bossy but she was nice to me! i didn't talk to them much, but we exchanged occasional smiles and the director asked some questions. once i was finished with that, i hung out with the other "room guides" in the main office and talked about bubble tea and chris sanchez. i guess we talked about other things, too. but those were the best topics!? haha, um... anyway. i went home for an hour where i ate yogurt and played guitar hero and then i headed back up to school. while the band got ready in the lecture hall, the percussion had a giggle session outside in the hallway. it was ridiculous.. we all couldn't stop laughing! even emily williams. tony erupted with laughter at least five times. i love the percussion section. sometimes ;) then we played! oh gosh. it finally mattered. we played moorside march, festive overture, and armenian dances. it was a great show! we did really well and max, rabastky, and i all nailed our mallet parts. oh yeah, then we sight read and saw our score. straight ones !! saturday, april 26 i went the the nature center and the beach with marina, emily r, jasmine, marty, thomas, and taylor! we walked around and visited the animals inside then moved outside where the real party is! they put the deer with the wild turkeys, ew! turkeys are the most disgusting animals ever. i can't believe there is something like that which even exists. oh god. the turkey kept inflating its body and making this popping sound. he gobbled for us occasionally. real cute. then we walked to the beach where we made a fire and played tribe. it was a lot of fun! we hung out there for a while then went to heinen's and then to marina's for some rock band. jason, emily w, and mark came over too! then i went to sleep at 7am and woke up at 1:30! and not even on purpose. wow that stinks! sunday, april 27 i went to jenn and alexis'! we ate at brown bag burger! yum! then watched a movie and i had soccer later. i scored FINALLY! a lot of us did. it was a good game. it was like 6 to 8. the ref didn't really keep track. i really like playing against that team. woo! then i talked to lauren for the first time in a few days so that was very nice i'm at the library right now because it is impossible to concentrate at home where my wild n crazy brothers are! hahahhahhaahaha. um but yeah. i've been here for over two hours now. i had to read summaries online about Hamlet because i can't comprehend plays at all. especially ones by billy shakespeare. i also have to do a lot of government research. that should be fun. i have a pretty bad headache right now though! oh well. i also have spanish and math homework to do, oh no! um i am going to fall asleep right now i want to get some movies from the library but i am scared because i never return anything on time. i'm wanted by the library police! i'll just have to outrun them. it should be fine read (4) write

[08 Apr 2008|07:59pm] [ music | the chemical brothers - surface to air ] OKAY. ALRIGHT. i'm going to make an effort to write in here! monday, march 24 through wednesday, march 26 jenn, alexis, alyssa, and i all went to splash lagoon! we ate a lot of food, hung out in the hotel room, played weird laser tag, took the shuttle a lot, saw sausage on the ground?, ate breakfast at 6:30 in our outfits, lost alexis' retainer (but then found it again), walked up and down the scary 5 lane street, ate at two restaurants within 1 hour, oh... and we went swimming a little bit. there was one really freaky water slide that alyssa and i went on like 3 times. it was terrifying and you went 40 mph!!!! and on this other one that alexis and i went on together, we would stop the tube and just sit there, haha. we saw a girl that looked exactly like alyssa and tried to talk to her, but we didn't. we made a "dancing head" video, which i want to put on youtube someday because it's just the most ridiculous thing you will ever see. we also took a picture with the "welcome to pennsylvania" sign!! it was quite the adventure thursday, march 27 until sunday, march 30 i went to massachusetts! whoa! i went with AFS club. a total of 6 kids from school went and miss furey chaparoned. i stayed with a family for 4 days and they were really nice! it was nice to just sit back and relax while people accomodated for me, haha. as selfish as that sounds. i don't know, i've never experienced anything like this before! the girl i stayed with is named kathryn. i shadowed her at school on friday and then at night we went to harvard university square. it was neat! we ate at a very interesting restaurant called wagamama and got bubble tea. some bostonians, alex and andy, didn't like it, though. on saturday, we went to downtown boston and ate at the weirdest restaurant ever called "dick's last resort" where the workers are mean to you! it's an experience that you can't miss out on! i can't even begin to explain it with words. they tie balloons to your hair and write mean things on them. but they weren't mean to the point where it becomes offensive so that's a good thing... then on sunday we had a going away ceremony and at the airport, it was a sad goodbye! miss gillard is an insane driver... anyway, our flight was delayed 3 hours so we got $6 food coupons to any airport fast food place. it was a relaxing time at the airport and we had some fun conversations. then on the plane, chris and i harassed miss furey and listened to our ipods thursday, april 3 we had a camp meeting!!! it was a joke, but alyssa, alexis, jenn, and i ate pizza in a-field and played soccer. we were 2 hours early to the "meeting" so i guess you could say we had some time to kill, anyway. friday, april 4 until sunday, april 6 i went to visit lauren at BGSKIO!! it was so much fun. i got there around 5 on friday and we lounged around until the real fun started. (because it's college and interesting things don't start until late???) haha. anyway, we hung out with scott, sarah, and then clayton and nick. we drove around and clayton described to us how the universe was actually created. it feels good to know the truth now! we went back and got pizza and watched aqua teen hunger force, haha. it was kind of really funnier than it maybe should have been. maybe? saturday, we played outside forever!!! sarah, scott, lauren, and i got so preoccupied with anything and everything. we walked around and got distracted by the smallest things. like doors that open and shut or the random fact board in harshman. we played soccer and frisbee and lauren got down and dirty as usual. we ate a lot and did not take the bus because it doesn't run on saturdays. it was really nice outside all day. saturday was so much fun!! then sunday i left at like 8:45 and it was a sad but quick goodbye, haha. i had a soccer game at 11 and later on i went to a picnic in the metro parks with emily r, emily w, marty, thomas, chris, and jasmine. we invented a game called gladiator ball and made great rules and everything!! wow ( one more picture ) read (2) write

[17 Mar 2008|03:37pm] [ music | the national - squalor victoria ] i finished the alchemist already. i think it took me four days at the most to complete that book. granted, it's not even 200 pages, but i am still kind of amazed at myself, haha. usually i don't have time or i'll fall asleep before even getting through 10 pages. it was fast paced and really simple to understand. i can't wait to read it again! it's a beautiful book. oh, and.. the author threw the BEST twist in at the end. i really can't wait to read it again. but first i want to finish walden alyssa and i went to the teen leaders sleep over this weekend! to say the least, it was better than i expected and it was actually a lot of fun. alyssa and i were the first ones there of course so we got to look for cranium in the health lodge! the only thing we found in there was some candy, so we took that and headed over to the dining hall to check for the game. we found it there and ate more candy in kyle's office. once everybody was there, we played cranium charades and froze to death outside by the "fire". it wasn't the usual group. the two of us went inside and played a nice little game of "would you rather.." (even though we should have played chinese restaurant) our small game became a big hit when kyle and some other girls came inside! i talked in my sleep and i guess alyssa responded to me or something. um, i was embarrassed!! it's always good to see everybody. it's especially great to hang out with kyle! she likes to threaten my summer job after every time i make fun of her. IT'S NOT OFFICIAL YET, YOU KNOW! oh jeez. kyle is hilarious and she doesn't really do anything normal after a wild game of bazooka jiggy junior, alyssa and i headed up to the waffle house because she's never been there! it felt like everybody was staring at us the entire time! i felt so foreign in there. then we went to target and jumped on the road again. [13 Mar 2008|09:37pm] [ music | the national ] ready for maximum intensity? i was thrown the best surprise birthday party ever!! wow. it was the one thing i was least expecting at the time. or, the only thing i didn't expect. usually, i receive some form of foreshadowing for what i'm in store for the near future, but this was the master plan of all master plans. un secreto muy grande! i had no idea. anyway, it was good to be reminded of some things and i need to return some of the favors, if you know what i mean. i guess i couldn't be any more vague than that, so i'm just going to move on to the my next event on friday there was an enormous snow storm that lasted until saturday afternoon. band contest was cancelled, which was actually kind of a relief. we automatically are qualified for states, but that sucks, because that means it will be extra crowded because not one band is eliminated yet. soo on saturday, chris picked lauren, scott, and me up and we went to chris' to play in the snow!!! it was so fun and the snow was so deep! we watched marco build an igloo. or move masses of snow into on general area. that was neat! then we went inside to have hot chocolate, have dinner, watch family guy, about a boy, and the sarah silverman show. it was like a time vortex watching that much television. it was good though. it was a perfect day to be lazy and i'd say we spent it pretty well. on wednesday alyssa and i went to southpark mall so she could return something. we ended up walking around for a bit and i even bought a hoody! we got free food from chik-fil-a because we won the wheel of fortune game. (everybody wins something, haha). we acted like we felt so special that we won, though! i won a chicken sandwich so i told the lady i forgot i am vegetarian so i could exchange it for something i could actually use! alyssa and i had a delicious meal of a brownie and fries. then we pet puppies! and on the way home, we saw the most humongous snow man you'd ever see. we took pictures with it! then we went to chipotle with jasmine and that was a good time!! other things that have happened: - fulfilled my dream of going sledding at camp! it was a blast - did that one thing you can do on your 18th birthday without parental consent - built snow forts with emily w, alexis, marina, and chris!! - slept a lot - only went to school twice last week (it was my birthday week!) - went on a driving adventure with lauren! we found my mind's eye :) yup!! it is OGT week, so classes don't start until 9:30. sleeping in is incredible and i'm going to really miss it next week. i don't study for math anymore and i find that it's a better strategy than what i've been doing in the past, because i got 100% on my last quiz. i'm reading the alchemist and i think it's really good. people who've read it tell me that it was all right, but i think i might be getting more out of it than they might have. which isn't a bad thing for them, but it sure is beneficial to me. it's really simple and i think it was written in portuguese first since the author is brazilian. so sometimes the sentences are confusing because the translation is weird. umm yeah! i don't know who i am! read (6) write

[21 Feb 2008|03:49pm] i woke up this morning and the first thing i thought was "i'm definitely going to take a nap when i get home." haha. is that bad to think that first thing in the morning? i was so comfortable in my bed, holy smokes. and last night when i got a text from lauren, i thought it was time to get ready for school. once i checked the time on my phone, i realized that i had only been in bed for 45 minutes. it was 12:16. i put the pieces together and it finally made sense that i hadn't been sleeping for long at all. needless to say, i was a lost lil pup. stuff has been hard. not really, but i'm just so terrible with procrastination and i luck out too much. i am sick of school and i just want to graduate. plus i'm seriously ready for some warmer weather. this needs to stop!! but i say that every time. but really, something needs to happen. i wonder when that day will come. i'm the laziest person ever when it comes to school. especially government. i was supposed to have a few things due today for my group project. i didn't have any of it. but one of our members wasn't there. we ended up not having to present today. i also completely forgot about three other assignments that were due for gov today. i finished them in time. i am just so freakin lucky. constantly i watched fight club all the way through the other day. i liked it when i watched it before, but i only watched the second half of it. now that i've watched the entire thing, it's like ten times more awesome. the ending killed me. holy moly, it was perfect well i don't really know. it's been eleven days since i've updated last. i'll make a list of cool things i've done lately - i went to the science center with ryanna and chris - we had a snow day - camp meetings and stuff - frankie's birthday, spaghetti warehouse and sledding! - i think i'm gonna join a class without officially joining it - saw paul baribeau, andy cook, and eric ayotte at the soggy dog house! i don't know. i guess that's pretty much it. i've been complaining a lot more lately. not in a pesty way, but yeah. jasmine has to transfer to avon for real now. she texted me about it and i thought it was a sick joke. but it's true. i really don't know what i'm going to do without her in lunch anymore. i don't know how the table will survive! i don't know. i'm ready for something new read (2) write

[09 Feb 2008|01:38pm] [ music | regina spektor - that time ] lately there have been two things which absolutely consume my mind: chipotle and camp part I alexis, chris, and i have been going to chipotle a lot lately. we're becoming kind of good friends with most of the workers which results in a bunch of free food. chris and i seriously wonder how this even happened. dornita is a crazy girl who listens to metal, but she's still amazing and nice! brandon is gay and thinks chris is cute. he likes to throw out trash and get tips. evelyn is from spain and lived in puerto rico for 15ish years. so she's obviously fluent in spanish and we love saying weird things to her in the language. angie is a 23 year old with two kids. she's hillarious, but really needs to get her life on track. she's a good person though! big bone (we don't know her name yet) is just so cool and always has been!! chris, a lady manager, loves to talk to us and joke with us about studying!!!! she acts like our mother! haha. and of course there is sam who loves good music and has one stretched earlobe. and ian is slowly warming up to us. he's so cute! he better be our best friend real soon, ha ha. and basically, the rest of the staff are puerto rican. there's the one guy who talks to us. we call him "hola amigos" because that is all he says. and there's one guy who stands in the back saying, "veggie day! WOOO!" to me. so far we've gotten 2 free burritos, at least 5 free bags of chips, free drinks, and one free quesadilla. tonight i went in there with lauren and we got one steak burrito, one chicken burrito, and two fully loaded veggie burritos all for a grand total of $14.00!! ha ha. NOW BEAT THAT chris becomes severly depressed if he misses one day of chipotle visit hours. and i don't blame him one bit! part II on thursday this week, there was a teen leaders meeting at camp. most of the kids in it live 20 minutes away from camp at most. and then there's us who live one hour away! so i guess it's more of a committment for us to make it to the meetings and stuff, but of course it's worth it. it's great to see kyle... i love talking to her and making fun of her!! ha ha. we turned in our applications for working there this summer. she is still pretty worried about the counselor vs JC thing between alyssa and me and jenn and alexis. i wish i knew how to tell her that she shouldn't have to worry too much. but of course, she has to because it's her job. she has to make sure that everything runs smoothly, i guess? oh well. but she's having us all write papers about the perfect week of camp. she's writing one also, by nathan's request. i'm really excited to start writing it. i dunno. i am so nervous for finding out if i am going to be hired or not for camp this summer. because they can always say no. oh jeez! then alexis and i stuffed my bookbag full of chips and cookies! and we talked to kyle for a little bit after everybody else left, which is always nice take me back read (2) write

[30 Jan 2008|09:38pm] [ music | the strokes ] the good thing about going to sleep while you're sick is being able to ignore the sickness for 5+ hours the worst thing, waking up and being even more sick. i wrote that a couple days ago. i'm getting better now, don't you worry! there was a four day weekend after finals which was completely vital! it was more than perfect timing for a four day weekend, anyway. lauren came home and we hung out a lot! on friday we hung out with chris, max, travis, and ross at travis'. we watched superbad which was all right and it was just a really uneventful night on saturday, lauren came over around 4 and we sat in my bed, talked about a lot of things, felt better, came up with our golfball goldfish pet idea <3, and chillaxed?!??! haha. we went out and got chipotle and went fish shopping. it was a pretty lazy day. we ended up going to the apartment later on. after waiting for max for a while and talking about everything in the whole entire existence of life. and freaky scenarios for night driving through the metro parks! indians and meth, peyote and weed, and aliens and the mayans, of course! on sunday i went to laurens for forever. we worked on her art project for 5 hours and then max came over later. lauren and i played some guitar hero! she beat dragonforce! haha. umm we watched this show on this history channel about the last days on earth, wow! how... happy, right? then we made fun of infomercials for like 10 minutes and went to denny's on monday lauren came over after i missed my soccer game (which the other team ended up not showing up anyway! my luck strikes again!). umm i'm not sure what we did. yes i am! max came over and we hung out in my room and listened to classical music! then max and lauren got chipotle because i refuse to eat it anymore and we went to the apartment so max could get ready for work then he parted ways after getting back to my house. later on, i drove lauren back to BGSKIO and we accidentally listened to against me the whole way there! oops. we listened to borne on the FM waves twice each time it came on. it was a good drive. then i got food with lauren and scott which was fun :) i didn't do much of anything this week. i got pretty sick and wanted to die. lolol ok not that extreme, but it did get pretty bad at one point. we had a percussion sectional at 7:00 a.m. on thursday lol. it's always nice to spend quality time with none other than walzcuk. one day this week walzcuk said to one of the clarinets: "you need should go to the store. you need to buy some enthusiasm, i heard it's on sale! we should sell that! make a million bucks." friday was terrible and perfect. oh my god, sick to my stomach. i saw untraceable blah blah blah okay. after having a blast at crocker park, alexis and i went to common grounds! oh my god, talk about blast from the past! we walk in there and see josh! so he runs over and greets us with hugs awww and then invites us for a game of apples to apples at 11:11. haha. it was like 10:15 at the time , what a long wait for a sweet game! i met miranda and nick? i think that was his name. and one other girl who left. they recommended me to get chai tea! so that i did. i hadn't had it since when anna was drinking it while we did counselor notes. so like, 5 months ago! it tastes like christmas! but then nick pointed out that it tastes more like thanksgiving, and it does; pumpkin pie! haha. josh, alexis, and i played some songs on the juke box! against me and the strokes. later on, none other than santovin walks in! haha oh GOSH. WEIRD. and some other really sweet kids came in too! we all played apples to apples together. it ended up getting up to like 10 players! this one girl kept picking my cards as her favorites, haha. then i saw brad, WOW. he said something to me as he walked out. i thought he didn't recognize me at all. thennn alexis and i left around 1:30! it was so much fun! talk about random, aww! :D on saturday in the afternoon chris, jasmine, and i went bubble tea shopping! we went to the playground and went on the devil bridge, played riddles, and made music! we went to chipotle to visit nuestros amigos and then jasmine went to church for a million hours. and chris went home, too. chris and i ended up hanging out later again! aw. first we went to our special slide and then we didn't know what to do lol. we called up ryanna and we picked her up! we decided on checking out the concert at the PAC and so we snuck into that. tony kazel was in two bands aww!!! emily r and tony g were there so we sat with them! then when the people were coming around for donations, ryanna said that we already paid enough, HAHA. and mrs nickels was the special guest!?!?! then we left and i brushed the snow off of my car and the car next to me while chris and ryanna wrote profane things on other cars... like CATS!! oh dear. then we went to the mall and went sledding in the parking lot. it's a good thing i keep 3 spare sleds in my trunk! then we tied a huge plastic tarp to my trunk and pulled each other on the sled on top of the plastic with my car. what a riot! then we went to the skatepark and wrote CATS and CATO into the freshly fallen snow. then we went to enteman's but didn't find anything good. giant eagle provided almost nothing for us!!! oh well :) btw, the snow looked perfect on saturday night. untouched and fresh. beautiful ok i apologize for spelling/grammar mistakes. i cannot read this ever again :P read (6) write

[20 Jan 2008|02:32am] [ music | rodrigo y gabriela - ixtapa ] i feel like writing/typing and i feel like i have a lot to talk about it. and well, i guess while thngs are hot&fresh on my mind, i might as well put them here. i also want to listen to music for a little longer, so it's pretty much a win-win situation, mk i also want to eat but that's not a very good idea since i'm going to sleep very soon i don't really remember anything before today right now, so here is how my saturday went! lauren came over around 3 and we talked and came up with a master golfball goldfish plan for next year ;) so we got chipotle and went to the pet store. then we played tricks on max at jcp and we were tricksters. we ended up playing guitar hero at lauren's for a while before meeting up with.. i mean, stalking max again. we stalked max when he was on the way to his car after work at 10! ha ha. he didn't care... again :( oh well. then we went to the apartment, but before that on the way there, lauren and i talked about indians and meth. ha ha. and aliens and a lot of interesting things that you can't really talk about because you have no first hand experience with the subject but you've heard things and have developed some sort of belief or mindset about them. and yeah, you know, those types of things. then we hung out, played cards and met some neighbors of his who were soo hilarious. and cute ;) hjahahahaha especially tyler with his hat ok i haven't written a rough entry like this in a while. sorry!!! adios. donde esta mi coche? bed time adios MAN i am hungry read (2) write

[15 Jan 2008|12:08pm] [ music | mates of state - these days ] finals week, yeaah! i had web design and government today... uh oh, government! coventry is the new cool hang out, ya know?! bubble tea extravaganza and drunk factory at the hugest playground i've ever seen. vicky and i got bubble tea and it was her first time! she didn't like the tapioca so she gave me ALL OF HERS! oh my gosh i got a stomach ache. i ate at mongolian grill for the first time in my life and it was quite the experience! perfect, in fact my german and spanish finals are on the same day! i hope i don't mix up some words. i keep trying to use the "und" in spanish. i'm excited for second semester priveledges!! i have chris, ryanna, and ian all in my lunch period so we're going to go to mongolian grill every day. just kidding! but it will be an adventure i've been neglecting my written journal !! :( but i've been pretty uhh out of it, i guess...... .. this one's for you, lauren [09 Jan 2008|03:55pm] in attempt to remember the last three weeks of my life: winter break was good and i miss it. i did a whole lot of nothing, but hey, sometimes that is really, really okay yesterday was the worst day that i've had in a long, long while. i think i handled it pretty well, though. the most i will say about it for the time being is: i was able to majorly 1up all by myself... but anyway i ended up coming home after school and sleeping from 3:00 p.m. until 5:30 a.m. hopefully i am not tired during school today because then i have a huge problem here. i had an awesome dream though which i will also spare the details to. it gave me an idea of how this weekend may end up though, ya know!? foreshadowing through dreams. and what insight is that? yeah i'm really nervous for finals, but completely ready for a refreshing start. next semester i will have fith and sixth period off. also eighth, but i think i'll actually have to go to that study hall. oh well. i need to learn government and math and also do a full-contact review on spanish. i've got a study group setup for the fifteenth. should be good i should really save all my playlists/write them down somewhere so i can update my ipod. too bad i'm a top of the line, professional procrastinator. thank you mr. deceiving sun read (6) write

[22 Dec 2007|03:05am] [ music | the feeling - sewn ] things have been pretty good lately. i really don't think i can complain (unless of course i actually thought about it for a minute, but i think i'll skip that part anyway). my mom thinks i skipped school on thursday because i was somehow marked absent in first and last period. why would i skip school?! puh-lease. i love it there. really. i had two days of ISA this week. now mr. eagen says hi to me in the hallways. same with besu! it's kind of nice, haha. but ISA was really pretty relaxing in a sort of unrealistic way. i could've spent 5 hours on one quiz if i really wanted to. i finished the count of monte cristo during my time spent in that room and i took a "pop" quiz that i missed on monday of last week. if i would've had to take it on the actual day it was given, i would've failed miserably. thankfully i was able to take it after finishing the book! ha ha. things constantly work out for me like that. i ended up falling asleep for like 10 minutes and the bell actually woke me up and i jumped up like nobody's business. it's weird being in one room for the entirety of the school day. time doesn't exist. what is time anyway? time is time and that's not even a real definition so it therefore is nothing. good bye i haven't updated since december fourth, so a lot of stuff has gone down, ya know?! i went to the mall and ruby tuesday's with jenn and alexis on saturday a couple of weekends ago. at the mall we spent at least a half-hour in dick's sporting goods looking at hunting and camping things. they have the most random things there! but i guess anything and everything comes in handy to at least one person out there. then at ruby tuesday's this man sneezed at least 18 times while we were there. we laughed so hard and one of the ladies at his table kept glaring at jenn for it, i think. we ate salad and made jokes to our waiter. i couldn't tell if he liked us or if he was just really really annoyed and wanted us to get the heck out of there. we at least gave him a sweet tip i think i went to crocker park with alyssa, jasmine, jenn, chris, and alexis on friday one day. oh yes we did! oh man, we got the HUGEST burritos ever. like the size of footballs, seriously. we sang the "veggie day woooo" song!! .... and it was a riot i went to alex's surprise birthday party with jenn and alexis. we got lost on the way there and met bob at a pizza place. we saw amazingly pretty christmas lights that completely surpassed our expectations and we ate panera bagels in the morning at alex's. then i drove home from akron on the snowy highway, which took an hour and a half. it was scary! later, i went sledding with chris and emily!! it was so much fun. chris brought self-heating hot cocoa that had the worst directions ever, we tackled each other down the hill, and we played steam roller extravaganza. it was so hard to stop!! we also buried a decently sized rock. at the end of the sledding trip, we discovered the tube slide at the park!! it was so scary going down OMG. the whole thing shook and your body smashed against the wall from high speed! then on sunday i went sledding again with lauren! it was cool; i'd never been to rose hill, whoa! we ended up sledding like four or five times down the one hill and after that, we went to the back with the better hills. we thought some kids were stealing chris' sled so we yelled "HEY!" at them. it was a real good strategy, let me tell you. then we laid down in the snow and talked for a while. it was weird to just chill on snow and not being freezing cold! then we yelled "HEY!" at some other guys and asked if they wanted to make a snowman. they ignored us for some odd reason. then we got cold and left :) side note: chris don't worry! i still have your sled. it is safe and sound in the trunk of my car last night was the drum line girl's secret santa party! it was so fun. i got marty this weird, $1 movie from target and we ended up watching it and it was the funniest thing ever. the one movie on it is called, "santa claus conquers the martians." that was just plain weird. the other one we watched is called "the night before christmas." it's this random animated movie that makes no sense whatsoever. i want to show it to the whole world! for lunch on thursday, we played secret santa at our table. we all picked names and bought lunches for each other. i got emily, who loves apple juice, so i bought her five things of it, ha ha. it was amazing. someone put fruit snacks in jasmine's fries and jasmine put 6 straws in my grape juice. today we had such laid back classes; i had a pizza party during third period! the only thing i had to worry about was the math quiz that i had today. i'm kind of nervous to see my grade. and what's this business with christmas being only, what... three days away?! things all happen too soon and much too fast. i guess it's all good. i love everything and that is all i have to say about anything. all i want to do is think, write, and play tetris. there is never enough time read (4) write

[04 Dec 2007|09:03pm] [ music | cap'n jazz - little league ] i don't know what has been going on lately. let me think... - went to BGSU with jenn, alexis, max, and lauren's parents for lauren's choir concert which was really great! we love choir, haha - santa pancake breakfast for teen leaders on saturday. talked to kyle for a while. it was very very nice to sit down and talk with her. we told her how we camped out at camp without her knowing!! ah! - roller skating on saturday night with jenn, alexis, heather, tara, genna, and two of genna's friends. jenn, alexis, and i wore our outfits and kids automatically thought that we were like a professional team or something, so we went with it, of course! we said that we had a competition coming up in two weeks and we were practicing. we said we'd only do the routine if they played our song which was "thriller" by michael jackson. they didn't play it. so we skated backwards and it took us 10 minutes to move 5 feet. we fell a lot. it was a good time. some lil white trash girl told us that the way we were dancing makes white people look bad and her friend told me my outfit was ugly. i asked them for fashion advice and dancing lessons. alexis sprained her wrist... :( - university circle fest on sunday! all the museums in the area were free on sunday. chris, alexis, jenn, and i went. it was cool! we wanted to go in the pizza room so bad!!! we went to tommy's and got bubble tea afterwards. bubble tea is my new favorite thing. ----------- on monday after school, i read 100 pages of the Count of Monte Cristo because we had a test today on chapters 11-20. that is an amazing feat for me. i will be forever proud of myself. it was very worth it, to say the least. when i took breaks from reading, before i went back to my room to read.. i felt like i was going back to go and actually talk to the characters. i felt like they were actually people i knew in life. what a weird feeling! it was neato. that book is actually pretty good, because you know, you never really have the time or get the chance to really appreciate the books you read for school. i am excited to read on tonight (40 more pages.. eek). today chris, alyssa, and i tried to do our government meetings project, but they didn't have any court cases when we went. in fact, they close at 4:30! jeez. the only time they said we can come is on thursday in the morning... um! we have school. but i think we are going to go together. the project is due next week! [27 Nov 2007|03:08pm] [ music | COLDPLAY ] things have been pretty perfect lately. along with some humongous letdowns and fallbacks, but that's usually how things go, right? // i've been realizing a lot in the past two weeks wednesday was just wonderful. lauren and i went over to max's around 3 and hung out there until like 10. shauna came over too and zack was home.. so we all hung out together in the living room for the entire time. lauren and max made the fire, we listened to music, and talked. at one point, zach, shauna, and i were all sitting on the floor infront of the fire place, playing cards and max and lauren were just watching. it was in that moment where i knew that that was it. i live for feelings like that. in its perfect simplicity of being around people who i care about/care about me. it felt so right. thursday was thanksgiving! it was nice to have family over and everything. i feel a lot less awkward with them than i usually have in the past. i'm finally getting over that weird stage, i guess. it's nice. it was real fun, though. i ate a lot and we shared family stories that are told every single gathering. lovely. afterwards, i took an hour long nap and picked up jenn, alexis, and alyssa to go shopping. we thought h&m was going to be open at midnight, but it wasn't. nothing was open. we'd been lied to! oh well. we refuged at denny's and common grounds. another perfect feeling. at common grounds we played cards, played old familiar songs on the jukebox and shared some conversation. alexis and i occasionally went outside and had snowball fights. we told people at best buy that the snow cones would be ready in 5 minutes, haha. and we tried to sell our spots in line. some people appreciated our humor, while most did not. friday i didn't do anything during the day. i slept from like 12-2:30 and i had soccer at 5:30. we lost our soccer game, but this time it wasn't as bad! it was only 1-5. i stubbed my toe on someone's foot and it's bleeding internally and it hurts! later, lauren came over and we hung out in my room forever. then chris and max came over and we wanted chipotle! we had only 20 minutes before the store closed! so we went, made it in time, and came back and watched "thank you for smoking". one word: IMUSTHAVETHATTIECLIP. yet another good night saturday i went to lauren's around 3 and hung out with her and max! we didn't do much but it was fine. we watched the cavs win at least! then max left and lauren and i went to red robin for some delicious boca burgers. then we went to my house and chilled in my room as usual. but something not so usual happened!! ha ha. shauna called lauren and wanted to hang out!!! so she came over and chilled in my room, too... haha. my brother and his friend were annoying... then we went to visit max and played the game. later, we went back to my house with max and we ate food and played the cup game. i rock! JK LOLOLLO. k. perfect sunday i went over lauren's. we drove around a lot, mostly to and from max's. chris hung out too. we all got chipotle for the second time of the weekend, haha. we did random stuff and it was nice. chris left and later i went for the trip to BGSU with max and lauren. i thought about a lot of things on the car ride there and took in the atmosphere. we got home at a decent time but i didn't get to sleep until like 12:30. read (11) write

[19 Nov 2007|09:57pm] [ music | soulja boy jk lol ] this weekend was great! i went to bgsu to visit lauren. i went there on friday like right after school and stayed until like 5:30 on sunday! wow! on friday we went to the band concert, which was pretty inspirational if i do say so myself. afterwards we did some stuff that i really forget.. oh! we also took pictures of pieces of sarah's body and listened to scott's 500+ question survey. we just listened to music at the end of the night and laid in bed forever just talking/laughing about everything. it was a good night. saturday, we got up, showered, ate, did spanish, and did stuff. we went to a hockey game with sarah later on and hung out with shauna and john afterwards which was cool. we hung out with bobby who was actually very interesting and open-minded! i liked him. we watched saw II at bobby's and played cards and stuff and it was relaxing and nice.. we ended up getting back at like 2 and we hadn't eaten since like 2 in the afternoon. so we had a feast that consisted of chips and snapple water. we woke up on sunday at like 11 but didn't get up until 12:45. haha oops. umm we got lunch, did spanish forever and then i left after all was done. the drive home was boring and i was tired!! goooood weekend :D some other random things: - finally there is a substantial break that will hopefully hold me over until the next one - i got to talk to anna for a good hour and fourty-five minutes today - i even saw lauren for a bit today! i wanted to but it would've been okay if i hadn't, but i'm glad she came over. just makes that much of a difference, you know? - i love my lunch table - i think i did well on my math quiz today. let's not jinx it, hm? - talking to new people at school! like not new kids from other places, but kids new to me. but mostly talking to people who i haven't really gotten to know but i'd definitely like to, so it's been good and it's been good motivation for me, i guess you could say - college essay is for the most part done! [11 Nov 2007|09:35pm] [ music | final fantasy - please please please ] i don't really remember anything i did in the last week or so. i've mostly been reminiscing on memories of last year or something. i've been pretty busy... and not lovin' it. i guess i'll just list some things i remember doing for the sake of, well, remembering. monday i didn't go to school and we had off tuesday. four day weekend for me! tuesday i went to visit kent state and university of akron with my mom. it was a good adventure and we met some nice people. ian was at the kent too! wednesday i hung out with jasmine, katheryn, jenn, and alexis. we got 4 free burritos and had a tour of gold's gym. brandon loved our jokes! after, i went to jenn and alexis'. we watched phenomenom, criss angel's new show, and played the helicopter game. thursday we went to the teen leaders meeting! we played a good game and tried on peoples' shoes, haha. it was especially great to see kyle. it was super lonely and dark at camp :( friday i saw lauren! and went to jenn and alexis' for their birthday tea party! saturday in the morning, i went to school and planted flowers and dug up weeds with kristin bauer. it was for leadership challenge which i long to be in, but i can't, haha. it was so much fun. later i hung out with lauren and max and went to jenn and alexis' bday party. too much food! [06 Nov 2007|12:51am] [ music | M.I.A. ] the last football game was so much fun. i went out to friendly's afterwards with almost the entire drum line; it was amazing. carly (an ex drum line member) was our waitress. how ironic! the next morning, i took the ACT, hung out with lauren, chris, and max, and did other stuff. sunday, i hung out with max, zach, and lauren at the metroparks! at night, we all went on a roadtrip again to drop lauren off at BG. the car ride was so much fun. we played dress up and the vacation game. ( details from the vacation game ) i carved pumpkins on tuesday with jenn, alexis, alyssa, chris, and marco! and i went to get free chipotle and went trick-or-treating with chris, alyssa, jenn, alexis, max, and zack on wednesday! the week went pretty fast.. on friday i went to crocker park with chris, alyssa, jenn, alexis, and jasmine! it was a lot of fun. lexy and jade met up with us, too! but only stayed for like 15 minutes?! :( we ate a lot and hung out with emily rabatsky at chipotle with her friends and had a battle with girls who were locked out of the store because it was closed. they made fun of us a lot and it was just hilarious! it was seriously so funny. i can't even begin to explain anything that went down!! on saturday we saw scott hamilton on ice and ate at ruby tuesday's sunday, i had an indoor soccer game with bandos and it was nothing like how i expected it to be. i was nervous and i thought i'd be shy because it's like people i never talk to, but it was so much fun! the only person that scares me is jenn koch but i think that may change! we lost 1-8 but it was so fun; i can't wait until next week's game! um but i am so sore from playing omg. it's crazy!! we get to enter our senior quotes on wednesday! i have honestly been waiting since sophomore year for this day and something quite ridiculous has come up; it never ends, i guess read (9) write

[25 Oct 2007|05:13pm] [ music | best friends forever ] last week was a bad one!! except for some 1ups. :P monday, october 15 anna came up from akron to hang out! i was ecstatic to hang out with her outside of camp for more than an hour. she needed pumpkin ice cream, so we got that and moved on to the metro parks. we climbed and walked forever. we tried to get to the other side of the river, but the land never connected! we ended up throwing rocks at another rock and breaking them. one rock looked like a steak and we had dinner! we talked about celestine prophecy a bunch!! we eventually found our way back and sat by the train for like 20 minutes while she played with ducks?!?!>! ha ha :) then we went to wal-mart and giant eagle where she faced some dilemma, but it was okay. we drank orange sobe and hung out. it was just so so nice to hang out with anna. holy moly. she's great. our age difference is weird but not! the rest of the week, i didn't do too much. i think i started reading hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy this week, because the tenth insight was really dragging. wednesday night was the last wednesday night band rehearsal. weird. my brother told me how he is going to miss it, haha. friday, october 19 senior night at the game tonight! wowza! i never thought i'd see the day? i never really thought about it until it was actually happening. it was sweet, though. we played the drum solo and the band did the dance, which was actually pretty sweet, and it was so much fun. we yelled "seniors" instead of "westlake" before half-time. muahaha. it was silly. jenn and alexis were there for it all!! :D after the game and after clean up, jenn, alexis, kristin, and marina and i went to friday's together. what a sweet group, haha. it was so much fun. tomas was there and their table got way overcharged. good night. saturday, october 20 camp! i picked up jenn and alexis at like 8am and we hung out and went to farmer's market! it was so cute. we talked to the bee man and the very unfriendly butcher. ha ha. then we got alyssa, went to target to see the horse and the maggot, and then we were on the road again! we got to camp, saw mike, found anna, and ate lunch. i think i had like... an orange and a pack of saltine crackers, haha. after that, we went to arts and crafts because it's home (but it was in kastner!! >:O) and we helped out there and made a bead mold with purely floor beads. i washed some paint brushes, which only took 4 hours, and we cleaned up forever. then we went to meet frankie and got chipotle and bagels for the morning. we came back to camp and played in arts and crafts some more. then we finally went to where we were supposed to be, at the haunted hay ride! we were late and everybody thought we were dead or something terrible happened to us. oh my gosh! umm i was with joe!! and jenn, alexis, and alyssa got to be together! we got snacks, s'morez pockets, and hot chocolate when we were done. jenn and i wrestled in the bounce machine and then we went to red robin!! after returning back to camp... we pitched a tent at high ropes and slept there. there were too many people staying at camp, so there was nowhere for us! good thing we are true campers, haha. we were scared about getting in trouble and we didn't tell kyle or anybody. the next morning, we ate our panera bagels, packed up, and headed back to camp. we ran into some people and told them and they thought it was so funny how bad we thought we were, haha. including liz. i don't know if anyone ever told kyle or what. we ended up doing arts and crafts for a while again with anna and cleaning up. anna was about to carry a bunch of stuff downstairs, but the box slipped and beads spilled everywhere! oh my goodness. oops? we ate pizza and then left. [12 Oct 2007|03:01pm] [ music | defiance, ohio ] i feel like i haven't written in here enough in the past week. i've been itching to update but i have't had any time. i don't really know what i'm going to talk about, but i finally have some down time without my brother down here and the tv is off. miracle? slightly. i'll start with band. it consumes my time and i couldn't be more proud to say that. today i realized (again) how glad that i am for being in band. it sucks soo bad sometimes and it's painful, but it's the best thing ever. i could not imagine my life without it. i love having that huge amount of dedication to something great. i love playing drums. i love being with my friends for more than 5 hours a day. i love the simple fun from it all. monday we played at jacob's field for the tribe pride party, lol. it was sweet. tuesday we played outside during school for the marathon runner! wednesday we had 4 hour practice, as usual thursday we have a band festival. no school on friday! friday we have to play at the mckeon's house and then go to the game! last week's game.. heather was in town! hahaha. as well as frankie. heather is so random. at least we know that she's the BGSU flat iron attackee. but yeah, band is my life and i wouldn't have it any other way. oh and! the hoodies and sweatpants are the most comfortable things ever. i'm so glad i got them! recently, my mental schedule/sleeping pattern has been all screwed up. ever since this weekend, i guess, i've been exhausted. it's finally getting colder out. last week i felt suffocated by the humidity, it was a really strange feeling. on wednesday for band, we had winter wednesday. looooooove. :) important events from the past few weeks that i remember. that's why they're important 1) libby's birthday party i went with jenn and alexis!! it was an adventure, of course. the drive there was quite a doozy. it took us three hours to get there instead of 45 minutes, which made it even more special that we arrived. haha. henry, the homeschooled kid from camp, was there! and we had subway and incredible mints. thanks a mint! it was good to see people 2) vermillion i went with with max, lauren, and zack. haha. the drive for this was crazy, too. lauren is right on everything and we spent like 20 minutes in the bean field at gore orphanage, haha 3) bones & house i'm finally starting to watch these shows every week. i go to jenn and alexis' and watch them and do homework. i freaking love house, oh man. 4) metro parks i went to the metro parks with chris, marco, jenn, and alexis! it was so fun. marco had to take pictures for digital photography. we chased an animal... jenn fed it a mint. and we went around and took pictures. it was so nice. we talked to the train conductor and took scared pictures by the train. 5) wednesday night lauren came home!!! max, jade, and lauren came over at like 9:30 after band and we chilled in my room. max did a really weird tribal thing. it was weird. hahahahah 6) friday night the game was a lot of fun. i sat by emily and tony and it was all good in the hood. 7) saturday during the day, i went to crocker park with jenn, alexis, frankie, and alyssa. we did a lot of boring crocker park things and then left!! i bought the tenth insight and pet a puppy. later, lauren came over and we hung out in my room. it was really nice and i just wish that it could've lasted for much longer than it did. perhaps... forever? it was nice to finally hang out. just us. talking. that kind of thing makes me happy and it is quite enough to satisfy me. then we went out and did whatever 8) monday: indian's game the whs marching band got invited to play for the "tribe pride party" at jacob's field. it was so exciting!! it was an away game, so they just had the game playing on the jumbotron and people came in and watched and cheered together! aww. it was so much fun, though. band :) 9) marathon runner the band played for this marathon runner. we were all like "what is going on?!" because no one even told us what his point was. i read a little bit about him and it turns out to be pretty cool. he is running to fundraise for this disease called ataxia-telangiectasia, "a-t" for short. it's basically terminal after so many years and develops in the second year of life. it's kind of like muscular dystrophy mixed with a bunch of other things. kids who have it are in wheel chairs generally by age 10 and don't make it through their teen years. sooo.. he's running 63 marathons in 63 days around the united states. one marathon is 26 miles. wow! good job, mister. i wish i would've known before he came to town! we played the rocky theme song as he passed by, lol. http://www.atcp.org <-- that is about ataxia-telangiectasia 10) band festival we had a band festival on thursday night and it was rainy and cold all night long. it started pouring right as we were about to get on, and of course it let up after we were done. it was kind of neat though, playing under the pouring rain... because i didn't really care that much. plus anytime you hit the drum real hard, it would splash up everywhere. it was all good in the hood. after, we cleaned up a lot and went to applebee's! lexy came too cause she is home! we had the spin dip waiter and he took forever again. he has no respect for teens. that's what his problem is. UGH. oh well. it was fun. 11) german class i wish i could describe how crazy/interesting/weird the 8th graders in my class are. you'd have to be there. chris is in that class with me and sometimes it just gets so outrageous. and tonight we have to play at the mckeon's house because they won the band raffle, haha. then we go to olmsted falls and play there. hi, zack and arjun! anyway. i've been reading, i've been sleeping, and i've been doing a whole lot of nothing. i dunno what's motivating me and i dunno why i keep it up, but i do. and maybe that's ok ( pictures ) If we stay aware and acknowledge the great mystery that is this life, we will see that we have been perfectly placed, in exactly the right position . . . to make all the difference in the world. read (4) write

[29 Sep 2007|01:25am] [ music | tokyo police club - shoulders and arms ] last week i didn't do much of anything. however, on thursday, i went to the international dinner at north olmsted highschool with jenn, alexis, and alyssa and ate dinner with the foreigners! afterwards, jenn and alexis had a get-together at their house. it was nice and i wish i could've stayed longer..! the weekend was perfect. band was great on friday night. it's always such a good time. then lauren and i hung out. we took a nice night walk around the block... like 3 miles worth probably! it was soo good to see her. we talked about everything there is to talk about and i wish i had more nights like this with lauren. on saturday, lauren, marco, chris, and i went on a bike ride. we went to wendy's, guitar center (where we did our own version of lipgloss), and got slurpies! (pop count!) marco loved his so much that he had to throw it away, haha. it was so much fun then on sunday, it was adventure extravaganza at the metroparks! first, lauren and i tried to find a parking spot but it was so busy!! then we went to berea falls and met up with zach and max. we went everywhere and climbed everything and saw secrets. lauren and i were professional climbers and climbed everything in our bare feet.. (that's the way to go!) it was so funnnn!!!! the metro parks are the best. then we chilled and it was perfect. later, we went to lauren's for her family get-together fish fry delicious! that was also a good time. then we all went and drove lauren back to school. it was a good adventure and the moon and the sunset were perfect. then we got into a lil bit o' trouble on the way home!! oops everything was so good ( typical ) write

[27 Sep 2007|09:07pm] i watched three hours of disney channel today. phil of the future, that's so raven, and zack and cody. then i downloaded some new music and walked up and down the stairs a few times. and i'm tired as heck. did someone replace maddie on the suite life?! oh, and... i did far better on the essay for the book i didn't read than the essay for book i actually read. it always seems to work that way though, huh? write

[18 Sep 2007|09:08pm] [ music | hem - polly's dress ] so chris and i are the designated artists for our german class poster. i have so many ideas and i know that chris will have incredible ideas too. we're working with this other girl and she stole the picture of chris and me and already glued it to something!!! i think that we wouldn't have cared AS much if it wasn't OUR picture. once we saw her glue the thing down, we got so mad, hahaha. so tomorrow, chris and i have an operation to stop the madness! we want to do the german poster without her! she still has one more year of german to do it anyway! oh and she suggested that the theme should be germany. REAL CREATIVE. she's supposed to be real good at art too, lol. on the way to second period, chris and i let out our anger to each other. we both complained so much about her, hahaha. i can't believe how mad we both were. oh man. we're going to take care of this immediately!!! we're gluing her head onto a lizard. next period, government, i had a test on the amendments and the articles in our book. we had to have all this stuff memorized and i didn't do anything last night. i made notecards, but i fell asleep before i got to study them. before mr. patton handed out the tests, he told us that we could have a partner for the test. OH MY GOD, thank goodness! me and this kid, ryan, had just been saying how we were not at all ready for the test, haha. i dunno. it was really lucky on my part. i did end up knowing most of the amendments, but i did need a lot of help on the articles. i worked with morgan. lunch today was good, too. FEED THE BIRDS!!! holy moly. today during band, mr. walczuk handed out whistles to like 5 sections of the band. for happy feet, there is a whistle part in the song! it's only like three measures long. walczuk has been playing it by himself for the longest time. the first time he played it, i remember, and everyone stopped playing because we didn't know what was going on! we thought he was blowing the whistle for us to stop, haha. it was so funny. but today, everyone got their whistle and he demonstrated how to play the part. then it was the band's turn to attempt the part. ok so there are like at least 30 people with whistles, so you can just imagine how bad this could've turned out. they played it and it was the loudest thing ever. the entire percussion section was covering their ears, hahaha. to say the least, it sounded like a cricket army. mr. walczuk stressed it to us that he didn't want us to use the whistles at ALL outside of band/the song happy feet. he was telling of all these scenarios. "if i am driving down your street and i hear a whistle, you are going to be in trouble!" and "if i hear one whistle in medina county...." hahahahah, ohhhhhhh gosh. [17 Sep 2007|04:02pm] [ music | explosions in the sky - the long spring ] i've been too anxious for what's happening in the future rather than enjoying the stuff that's going on at the moment. i hate feeling antsy for things to begin or end. the game on friday was a lot of fun. it was supposed to storm, but it ended up only raining on and off for a bit. it eventually stopped raining all together in time for half-time! midpark people had snowpants on and did the pony dance! wow! then in the stands, we were watching this little kid tackle these practice things for the football players. when he hit one, the entire band would start cheering. we did this for like 5 minutes. oh my god it was the best thing ever. it was so funny. mr. walczuk just stood there laughing with us. afterwards, i went out with like the whole drum line. okay, like 10 of us, but still! we went to friendly's and it was a great time! we were loud and i knocked over a glass of water and it was real chaotic, haha. saturday, i went to cedar point with jenn, alexis, alyssa, and malu. we met up with other girls and their foreign exchange students! i talked to kira a lot and she was so funny and we got a long. she told me how to say "excuse me" in german, but i did it so wrong the first time. alexis and i yelled "window" in german (fenster) on the magnum. kira loved it. made me miss litaf it was a good night number three, hey hey hey hey hey... ! ?! read (4) write

[10 Sep 2007|09:02pm] [ music | eric ayotte - literal metaphor ] friday, september 7 pep rally today was cool... at least we didn't have to march outside! i laughed at a lot of things with tony :P it was fun the game tonight was amazing. we did better than tony thought we'd do. and it started pouring after we got back into the stands after halftime and everybody in the crowd starting screaming! it was so chaotic-sounding. tony and i started screaming at each other and yelling JESUS. haha. omg it was hilarious. good times. band is the best thing in life then jenn, alexis, alyssa, and sam came in while we were cleaning. everybody was freaking out, but in a very sarcastic way. we were all just yelling at each other with as much love as possible. it was awesome. then jenn was yelling at people to clean up or she'll give them detentions. jenn, alexis, alyssa, and sam got yelled at. then they came back in, got yelled at, but i said they were helping! ahah. they did, though. then we went out. the best chaotic night lol. we went to ruby tuesday's and strato's! saturday, september 8 drove to camp!! alyssa, sam, and i did this teen leaders thing. it was not the cook-off, but it was the kick-off! haha. when alyssa and i first got into the cabin, we just like FREAKED out like never before and set up our beds at 120mph. omg it was the funniest thing ever. we did the hardest name game ever and just did mini team building things. we played hug-of-war and ate dinner! sam made the biggest mess ever >:O haha just kidding, it was all me. we did a bunch of planning for the whole thing, made a wishboat and had a sleep over is kastner. omg alyssa and i led everybody to pinecone central and they were like WHERE ARE WE. haha. we watched shrek two in kastner and made kybo trips! and alex was vulnerable and had no legs omg ahhahaha. i couldn't breathe, i was laughing so hard. sunday, september 9 we woke up, cleaned up, ate breakfast, and planned some more. at breakfast, i got to talk with anna for 4 seconds! and i ate too much rice krispy cereal. we planned for the next couple of hours and then it was time to say goodbye. we ate rice krispies and hung out. then alyssa, sam, frankie, blake, sarah, alex, libby, julia, sarah's mom, and i went to red robin! alyssa thought there was bread in her shake and alex laughed in the creepiest way possible, forcing alyssa to spit out her milkshake all over the place. then frankie, blake, sam, alex, alyssa, and i went around to stores and had fun. so many freakouts happened this weekend. so good. i miss my international friends and it was hard to say goodbye again ( las fotos ) read (2) write

[05 Sep 2007|03:57pm] [ music | the national - all the wine ] friday, august 31 I LOVE FOOTBALL GAMES! i love playing stand grooves. i love doing warm-ups. i love laughing about everything. i love getting mad during band. i love being in marching band. so yeah, the first actual football game was on friday. it was perfect. some things stink so much, but every bit of everything is so worth it. lauren and jade came and i talked to them after halftime! after the game, i hung out with lauren, max, vicky, chris, and marco! saturday, september 1 i drove to camp in the early morning! i got there and ate some breakfast and then moved on to activities. it was so good to see everyone again! alexis and i went up to archery but then we decided to go help at the rock wall. we checked for birds a lot and got told twice that we were doing something wrong. then a dad came over and took over basically. that made us oh so very happy. we hung out with mike and stuff and talked about idaho. then we did arts & crafts, my home. alexis invented a little caterpillar puff pal and they were a hit... kids had never ending ideas of puff pal ideas. haha! i talked to liz a lot this weekend in arts and crafts, too. i really like her! i hope to see more of her. and maybe next year, but probably not! aw. she is awesome, though then alexis and i played with kids with kyle and monkey while it was parent free time. we played soccer, played with the parachute, and raced. monkey and i were the best soccer team ever, while alexis was the most awkward soccer player ever! olympics for us = cleaning kybo with yoshi and litaf. it was fun. we didn't do any mopping, so it was easy. yoshi brought his CD player and we listened to Hey There Delilah (his favorite song, haha) and Girlfriend. then we tried out biking for 10 minutes and died. WISHBOATS. we made the most outrageous wishboat of ever. we went to pinecone central to get supplies. it worked out quite well :) we almost got disqualified because we put everything unnatural on it! HAHA. tammy was crying she was laughing so hard, i think! we almost got disqualified because we forgot the rule that the wishboat had to be all from nature! we put everything not natural on it. like paint, styrofoam, stickers, and puff pals. oops! we took them off, though. we walked to high ropes at night and layed under the stars. it was the perfect night out; it was so clear. i want to go there more often! butt monster came out, lol then we got back and hung out in the cabin with monkey and litaf. they asked us what "palooza" meant. haha, we don't even know! they wanted to know if you could use it with other words than just "kite". haha. we ate so much food and the grapes ended up all over the floor. we got yelled at by danielle, kind of. she sent us a messenger over telling us to be quiet. then litaf was like, let's yell palooza one more time real loud! and she counted down and i didn't do it. she said that i screwed it all up, ahhaha. then litaf did NOT tuck me in :( sunday, september 2 at breakfast, we had to fold upside-down pamphlets! haha. afterwards, kyle had us go sweep the chapel! how many berries can fit into one chapel area? just ask us. the number is infinite. after chapel, we went up to the rock wall to look for alexis' bookbag. on the way there, we stopped at the petting zoo and hung out with the llama for like 10 minutes. lol. it was so funny. the llama got so close to us!! like it could have licked me a lot if it really desired. we ended up not finding her bookbag. then we all went to arts and crafts and made sand art bottles. we missed kite palooza. oh well! then we ate lunch and cleaned. oh and mike put stick stickly in litaf's bookbag and she didn't notice for a little (or at least that's what we thought) and it was hilarious. we cleaned kresge first, then jenn and i went with monkey to clean out the pinegrove cabins. then we got to do the kybo! yaaay! it was fun. we made our kybo adventure into "kybo: the musical" hahah. my favorite song, the great escape, came on and we danced to some good rap. then we cleaned the orchard cabins! [29 Aug 2007|10:44pm] [ music | maximo park - kiss you better ] i saw ghost mice play at the gazebo in berea tonight and it was great. there was only like 25 people there! i forgot how much i love them. they're adorable awwww :) they had such a hard time deciding whether or not to play free pizza for life. "the longest song ever about pizza" i just downloaded so many good cds and i can't wait to listen to them while i sleep tonight! that is all. i love school write

[28 Aug 2007|07:55pm] [ music | france gall - sacre charlemagne ] first day of school, finally! i haven't really been excited about anything during the past week besides school. which is okay because then everything ends up being so much more fun than i expected it to be. anyway! school was interesting. first period [german I]: frau hays! chris is in my class! there are a lot of 8th graders and young babies. frau hays took all of our pictures and told us to look happy in them, haha. she said something like "act like you're going to taco bell with your friends!" second period [government]: i have patton; he's a new teacher and seems real cool! third period [senior english]: i have peebles. she is crazy. also, i have some of the dumbest kids in my class! i plan to look past this and just do my own thing, thank you very much. fourth period [spanish IV]: podway. she reminded me of suly for one second! she is a good lady. fifth period [web design]: with tarr. whatever sixth period [lunch!]: ms. keel is on lunch duty during the period! i miss her seventh period [math]: my teacher is rushcau. he's funny! charley and kristen bauer are in my class. this is the only class i have people i'd want to talk to in it!! :) eighth period [study hall]: priveleges soon! ninth period [band]: with walczuk. of course! i visited zaborniak today; it was nice to talk to her. she immediately asked me if i've been to petsmart lately and she talked about michi, haha. i also talked to ms. keel for a bit and that was nice as well. i love mr. friedrich. i got a notebook that says "lunch ladies rock!" on it. and i finally tried the raspberry mocha frappacino from starbucks while i was at the mall with alyssa today!! write

[28 Aug 2007|03:58pm] [ music | france gall - poupee de cire, poupee de son ] this weekend i went to BGSU with max to visit lauren! it was so good to see her! every little thing was an adventure, including the clouds on the drive there. we freaked out about the clouds the entire way there! we left around 5 on saturday and it only took an hour and a half to get there. it was an easy drive. we got there and went out to chipotle with kat, sarah, and shawna. it was weird being in a foreign chipotle! haha. later on, scott came over and we went to taco bell for him. after we got back, trying to figure out something to do, we just decided on playing cards. we played ERS, of course, 10s and 2s, and mow. mow was a crazy version of uno. scott was the mow master. there were a bunch of random rules that scott knew, but we didn't, so we had to figure them out. it was so funny. then mara came and we went to the waffle house at like 1:30am!! everyone was there! i have never eaten at a waffle house before! it was good fun. oh yeah, scott got a picture of sub-lime-inal lady :) on sunday, we woke up and got ready and everything and went to this place in scott's dorms to eat. i ran into tish, amy, natalie, scott, nick, heather, and autumn from camp in there! hahahaha. what are the chances?! then we all sat down and ate. we met paul and lauren too! lauren was hilarious. they talked about scott having his own naturalist religion and that it was mandatory to work out before church, hahaha. then we all just walked around and got starbucks, said bye to mara, said bye to paul and scott cause they <3 homework, and then lauren, max, and i went and took pictures in the field. it was a good time! later on, we met up with shawna and we went to get dinner. YUM. then max and i departed. just like that. it was really nice to go to BG and visit lauren and meet some people. it was really nice just to be with lauren! i liked it there a lot!
